He's Four!

Today is my grandson's birthday, he is four years old and on his way to being a little man. Can't believe how fast the time is already going, he heads to school even this September, and he is just so little and cute it is hard to imagine.

Well some drama goes along with my little grandson today! He got out of the house last night and was found by the police on a very busy corner in the city. When my daughter was telling me the story this morning my heart I think stopped beating and fell out. All is well but how scary for them. Thank goodness she didn't call us last night and tell us, I don't know what or how we would of dealt with it. And wait till grandma sees the little bum tonight at his birthday party, he is going to be getting a lot of hugs and kisses. Can't imagine our lives without him in it and how scary to think that something terrible could of happened to him and we would of slept through it. It is upsetting me even more as I think about it. So I better change the subject!!!!!!!

So still no hot water for us. I guess there was a miss communication on my part regarding the appointment I booked for Tuesday between 1 and 5, it actually was booked for Wednesday between 1 and 5. That is right I am an idiot and I wouldn't understand what day I was booking an appointment for, you know I don't mind being without hot water and having no shower now going on the second day. Seriously don't they have complete control over us. And this is after I spoke to them yesterday twice when the guy still wasn't here after 5 and they said he was running 25 minutes late and would be right along, thank you for my patience. They don't know me very well, I don't have patience! Then the next call and service guy is now over an hour late, oh no you don't have an appointment. What! So now I get to talk to a young manager named Heather who will call back in an hour and see if she can't get someone here for us. Oh and Heather, she didn't call back and this morning when I called to scream some more, they don't have a Heather who is a supervisor. Bull crap frigging company! And what can we do about it, well nothing really they have you by the short and curlys and really don't think they care.

Anyways Donkey went and had a look last night to see if he could maybe do something, nope that didn't turn out, but in the mean time we discovered that the furnace that I just had cleaned on the 26th of July, now hold on, guess what, isn't working either. Gas problem, do you think! So I call again this morning at 7:30 to make sure someone is coming, oh do you have a booking? no I kid you not. Yes I do and it is supposedly today between 1 and 5, well let us just check that for you. Whatever!!!! So I also inform the knowledgeable person on the other end of the phone, and her name is Diane, that the furnace is also not working, is there possibly a gas problem? She suggests checking that there is power on and check the fuse panel, uh, didn't think of that, come on don't you think we did that first. Well maybe un-plug the hot water tank and plug in a blender to make sure there is power, not that all the lights blinking would mean anything, right. Explain again to lovely third world Diane, have done everything we can think of, but still not working and neither is the furnace, and wait for it, this is good. "I wonder if there is a gas problem", really Diane, aren't you so smart, good for you. Now how about you get that technician here and he can maybe have a looky loo. Oh sure let's book you an appointment, what, how about the one you told me I already have, oh right, well he should be there between 1 and 5. Great thanks, appreciate it, have a nice, you know what, day.

Okay enough about that too! I am getting myself really wound up!!!!

So here I sit, in desperate need of a shower, the pool just doesn't always cut it when you maybe need to wash your hair or shave your spider legs. And obviously my mood isn't as good as it usually is, you know me, happy go lucky girl that I am. And I have to drive into my grandson's birthday party so I can't even have a very tall glass of lovely wine. But the day will end on a happy note, birthday cake and some big cuddles from my lovely grand children.

I can't even get any work done properly today, my head is so not on right. And the guys are still working across the road and it stinks from the tar they are using. Nice try Donkey saying they can add some pine smell to it, right, I may be blond but it is natural no root seepage, thank you very much. Glad when they are done and out of there and the neighborhood can go back to quiet and smell better. Well if I don't get a shower it won't.

Okay that got a lot off my chest, maybe I will have just one glass of wine, not even a big one. I think I should before the repair guy comes or I might not get hot water today, there will be a technician locked in the basement with a headache, self inflicted of course.
